Txs, I've now committed the patch. happy hunting for bugs now ;)
Serious, I upgraded from some ancient plugins to new versions, so we should definitely test this carefully. There are 2 areas where we should take special care: a.) the new site-plugin might behave slightly different. b) the new apache-parent-7 provides a standard source release packaging mechanism. This is all we need for an official Apache release, but MyFaces historically also provided a binary package. Where is the assembly descriptor which we used to build this package? We should review and test if this still works. Donald Woods wrote a very good documentation about the release process with Nexus for Apache BVAL: http://incubator.apache.org/bval/cwiki/release-process.html I successfully used this docu as hintbook for releasing OWB already ;) LieGrue, strub > >From: Leonardo Uribe <[email protected]> >To: MyFaces Development <[email protected]> >Sent: Tue, August 3, 2010 9:51:59 PM >Subject: Re: Apache ibiblio rsync repository question > >Hi Mark > >Yes, I agree with the changes proposed. > >regards, > >Leonardo Uribe > > >2010/8/3 Mark Struberg <[email protected]> > >Hi Leo! >> >>I've already prepared some work in >>https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-2790 >>I you think those changes are ok, then I'll apply it tonight. >> >>LieGrue, >>strub >> >> >>> >>>From: Leonardo Uribe <[email protected]> >>>To: MyFaces Development <[email protected]> >>>Sent: Tue, August 3, 2010 9:02:39 PM >>>Subject: Re: Apache ibiblio rsync repository question >> >>> >>>Hi >>> >>>It seems to be a side effect of >>>https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2902. >>> >>>It is probably think we need to apply MYFACES-2790 first (and that means >>release >>> >>>another myfaces master pom) to continue that release.
