Some time ago we were already thinking of moving away from our old ant-task and
the dependency plugin for re-packaging and including shared in myfaces core and
using the maven shade-plugin instead. I also did some prototyping back then in
a separate branch, but unfortunately ran into some serious issues.
However, while working on MyFaces CODI we found out new ways to deals with
those problems. Furthermore we now provide a separate OSGi bundle, which
automatically takes care of all the OSGi issues we had back then with the
shade-plugin.
I will create a new separate branch and try this stuff again, now having a lot
more knowledge about it. If it works well, I will write a mail to the dev list!
