The JSP variant seems to look for a method with parameter java.lang.String
instead of javax.faces.component.UIInput
Example can be found in the current demo started with "mvn jetty:run-exploded"
http://localhost:8080/faces/content/01-basic/basic.jspx
Type "po" in the AJAX field.
Look in the log output.
