I tested an app which covered basic tags, cdi beans, and bean validation on Tomcat. I had a bit of trouble setting up OWB & BVal on Tomcat but, otherwise, all the apps ran fine once everything was setup properly.

For the release, I'll label is 3.0.0-RC1, but what should I name the next development release? 3.0.0-RC2-SNAPSHOT, perhaps? And should the release be on the same branch s 3.0.x or a new one?

My last test was only with jakarta.faces change but we still used javax.servlet (for example).So we should at least create a little test app and test on tomcat with and without CDI/BV.
