Ron: Indeed, the current lora code is quite behind Semtechs current release. The lora stack is fairly new to Mynewt and the initial version (what is there now) is going to get refactored. There will definitely be modular region support; just not sure if it will end up looking like the Semtech code which is why it was not merged already.
It is not days away but not months either. I think you can expect that code (or something similar) to be added before the end of October. Note that the reason for the lora release in its current state was so that folks could look over the API (the lora_app_port API mainly) and comment on it. Changing the API is something we want to avoid so wanted to get that out there as soon as possible. That API should not change with the refactor but a fair amount of the reference design code may end up changing. > On Oct 4, 2017, at 12:28 PM, Ron Segal <[email protected]> wrote: > > Are there any target time scales for upgrading MyNewt to track changes in > Semtech's reference (example) stack? > > Days, weeks, months, best endevours? > > We are looking at implementing MyNewt with our LoRaWAN end device offerings, > but the current release is too far behind with key reference stack > improvements.
