Hah… I’m in the same boat. Lately i’ve been using a lot of esp8266[1] boards since they are dirt cheap (< $5), support WiFi, and have a lot of power for the price. And re: Arduino IDE… getting away from that thing was one of the best things I ever did. I will say the multiple board/architecture/toolchain support in the newer versions is nice. -Taylor
