Hi,

Thank you for pitching in your thoughts regarding a users@ mailing list for
Apache Mynewt. The majority indicated it was a good idea as long as the
developers subscribed to it too. Here are the takeaways:

* It is less intimidating for a newcomer to the project to ask for help
installing/using Mynewt, device builds etc. on a users@ mailing list. We want
to attract a lot of new users and expand the community; so having a separate
users@ mailing list that doesn’t scare new users away would help.
* Developers learn a lot from issues being faced by the users and can improve
product based on the discussions there; so they are strongly encouraged (and
expected) to subscribe to both users@ and dev@ mailing lists.
* A more intuitive interface for the mail archives with an efficient search
functionality would be immensely helpful to all.

I will request infrastructure to set up a users@ mailing list and update the
documentation. We will use the new lists interface for Apache (Pony Mail) to
make search easier and see whether we need to migrate to other options such as
mark mail and nabble).

thanks,
aditi
