YARN RM can be started as you please. We chose to suggest to start it form
Marathon to get an HA, placement for RM and mainly accounting for the resources
it uses within Mesos, but you can certainly start it manually.
JHS can be also started separately if not configured in myriad yml file. Again
in this case we suggest to start it via Marathon for resource accounting,
placement.
Not sure what are your concerns with Marathon. Could you elaborate a bit more?

Hi,
We are looking to use myriad, however based on documentation looks like we
need to start the YARN resource manager from Myriad , is there a way I can
use existing Resource manager without starting from Marathon/Myriad
Can I only use Myriad to spin off the NodeManagers and not the RM or JHS?
