Dear all,
We, group of native tajik speakers came to decision to participate in
localization of openoffice.org into tajik. Currently there is no support
for tajik language in any office products or operating systems including
commercial ones, e.g. Microsoft products.
I, Murod Latifov have an IT education and experience. I will take
responsibility for any software related issues regarding localization
into tajik language, extracting, merging, building and testing of
builds. Three other group members will be engaged with translation of
content. We are eager to do our best to contribute to open source
community as well as support of tajik language.
Our project will start with Level I and may evolve to Level II depending
on our success and availability. Definitely we will use l10n framework
for localization as proven way which has support from openoffice.org
community.
Please provide us with necessary guidelines, and also we would like to
hear if we omitted any important point in our proposal. We hope our
proposal will be accepted and we can collaborate for the success of open
source mission and particularly openoffice.org.
