Hello, I have now submitted most of the modifications required to support Oriya in OpenOffice, following instructions in the wonderful document http://www.khmeros.info/tools/localization_of_openoffice_2.0.html. Please see issues 52647, 52805, 52806, 52808, 52811, 52812, 52855, 52856, and 52857, if you are interested. The changes remaining now will need to be done only after translation. One question I had was how to modify issues that I have filed in the IssueTracker (I made some stupid mistakes like file patches as defects in some cases, and attaching a file multiple times). The writeup on IssueTracker seems to indicate that it should be possible to modify my existing issues, but I cannot seem to figure out how to actually do this.
I am now going to look for volunteers to start translating the UI, but we still have a major problem with Oriya rendering in ICU 2.6, which impacts OpenOffice 1.9x/2.0. I am trying to get some students to work on backporting changes from ICU 3.4 to 2.6, so that we can at least build an Oriya-enabled OpenOffice locally. Regards, Gora
