Hi *,

as RC3 is now available (although not on all mirrors yet), I have updated the status page for localization testing:
http://qa.openoffice.org/localized/status.html

Please download your builds and test them, so they would (hopfully) soon get a "GO". If you are going to test, please update the status page or let me know, so that I can update. Following informations should be provided:
- URL to the packages that you are testing
- qa representative for a given platform.

As the differences between RC2 and RC3 are very small, I'd consider most of the RC2 test results as valid. But at least some automated tests should be run (first, topten and *_upd) and a number of manual tests (not full tests, but at least installation and basic functionality should be tested). So .. if you have already done tests with RC2, you don't need to re-run all the test (if you are going to do so .. even better).

If you find problems while testing, please remember to look for / report issues. Esp. when testing with TCM, it is very helpfull to see why a test has not been passed. With the issue number linked to the TCM test, it's more easy to estimate the quality of the build.

Regarding platforms or localizations that are not listed at the staus-page. Please tell me, if RC3 builds become available. I'm not tracking all the lists, so I may miss builds.

Nakata-san told on [EMAIL PROTECTED], that he has succesfully tested FreeBSD builds with qatestttool and smoke tests. So .. it would be great, you look for FreeBSD testers who want to help, as soon as RC3 FreeBSD is available.

So .. looking forward to 2.0 finale release ;-)

André
