well, I may not understand your problem very well, but to me it is not that bad. The drop-down menu will be updated shortly. It happens, has happened and will happen to many here. Just provide the URL you know to the journalists and tell them the mk builds will be propagated to the mirrors shortly. Imho there's no need to cancel anything.
