Thanks Charles for giving ur attention to indic need and for selecting Vijay for ESC!
Vijay is really 'the best' for the ESC. He is fully able to response the real Indic need. And it is a need of time to give ear to the issues related to openoffice. So the dialog coming with this thread will be really helpful to fulfill Louis ojective as he has written.. "The point is to start dialogue on how we can make it easier for developers to work on OOo and how we can improve the procedures for making meritorious work noticed."" ... by starting the thread. Really Openoffice is one of the most meritorious work. Some serious issues are barrier for getting full benefit of localisation of OO in several languages. And by adding 5 more languages Marathi, Malyalam, Asamese, Oriya and Urdu Raman and his team has done an excellent work! Thank you and congrats Raman and his whole team. And now we have covered more than 90 % of popn of India. So now main thrust shd only be on solving the engineering issues related to indic!
