Hi
I'd like to list all events related to OOo that the OOo community members will be speaking at or holding workshops in. We used to do a version of this but it became too unwieldy as more and more events came up. However, it occurred to me that we could use Google Calendar for this and link to it from the Newsletter on blogger. I am pretty naive about using Google Calendar but can give it a try. What I need though is for you to tell me or Charles or Erwin of upcoming events--no matter where!

ah, something comfortable for me, please Charles have a look at here ;

Hey, if the FR wants to do it for all :-)

More seriously, Louis, we can do some tests together if you want to see how google calendar works for several committers ? (Note: this is only short time I have open the google calendar and play with it, but it seems to work fine with ical sync)

Yes; I can start one and see who else can edit...

So it may be a save of time for all of us to have only one place to update for all our events instead of having to send it to several lists or to ask one other member to handle it.

Yes. That is the idea. LWN has a good calendar now but it is not specific to OOo....

You can do this by sending notes to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Well, imho a calendar will be better. This is in fact the principle of this agenda for FLOSS events in France :

Okay; it really depends on how many possible committers there will be ...

Every body is able to update it with its event.

nice.

If it's necessary the script for this calendar is open too, but may need some work as it is not recommended for use by its author. Anyhow, we may be able to improve it if needed ;)
Well, just tell me if you need me to test the google one.

I'll start one and send a note to you later on tonight; am working on an interview right now and should focus on that.

Ciao

Louis

Kind regards
Sophie
