Is there any way to extract all Swedish text used in the Swedish version of OpenOffice.org, including menues, error messages and help texts? Since the current spell checking dictionary is very primitive, I want to improve it. And one step would be to make sure that all the Swedish help texts are recognized by the spell checker.
Is such a test part of the normal procedure? It seems it could make sense for every language. In OpenOffice.org 2.0 the Swedish spell checker doesn't recognize the words "rättstavningskontrollen" (spell checker), "ersättningsord" (replacement word), "autokorrigering" (auto correction), "installationsprogram" (installer), and -- "OpenOffice.org". Copying and pasting from the help window to the editing window is quite a revelation. But I can't do this manually for every part of the help system. On my Ubuntu Linux system, the *.ht and *.db files under /usr/lib/openoffice/help/sv/ seems like a good start, but is this everything?
