Hello, as it starts to be customary at each OOoCON, there will be multiple community meetings on the first day (the 18th of September), and one of them is the NLC meeting. Last year we had one that was both wonderful because of the number of people who joined us, the people who had travelled from so far away to visit us (Claudio, the Indian and Bengla team and others) and at the same time it was close to a failure, somehow. Why?
Because the agenda was ill-prepared (my fault) and that we were simply lacking focus in very short period of time. This year, it's going to change. Well, I hope it will, at least. As I was in Hamburg last week I had a meeting with Rafaella and Eike and we had an idea: we would like to propose a joint NLC - L10N meeting that would last at least 2 hours. This meeting would both deal with NLC and L10 topics. My idea is that we could do the same with the Marketing meeting, where John, Cristian and I would have a similar 2 hours marketing meeting that would allow more focus. Ideally, the MarCons and the marketing people from the NLC would participate there while the NLC-L10N meeting would focus on more technical matters and the community building topics. What do you think of this? (and incidently, John, Crisitian, what do you think of my proposal?) Best, Charles. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
