Charles,
I don't have any issues to provide things like QA, support,
documentatioin
etc in future when needed. Since I am already quite familiar with the
translation, I belive this will not matter much for me.
My OO's username is *sprasad. *
Also Kannada has been listed in
http://l10n.openoffice.org/languages.htmlpage and the responsible
person mentioned in that list (Promod) is no more
an active member.
I have no problem initiating a Kannada language project but am
curious if you have connected with the BharateeyaOOo group? They are
doing a Kannada localization, among others. Am cc'ing the lead, RKVS
Raman.
I'll hold fire on creating the project until you get back to me.
Ciao

kind regards

Dear Shankar,
I think it would be best if you would first start a localization
project. See here: http://l10n.openoffice.org . I will open the
kn.openoffice.org but I need you to provide me your OOo username.
Also, be aware that at some point you will have to provide
localized QA,
users support, documentation, etc. Do you think you'll be able to
do it?
Please read this: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/NLC
Best,
Charles.
