Hi Alexandro,

Hi Florian, how you doing, I am Alexandro of the OpenOffice.org ES
community. Ecuador is in our area of work. I agree that Ecuador
participation in our community is very limited and is our desire to
expand it. We have an active community in neigbor countries like
Colombia an Peru.

However we are interested on having contributions from Ecuador. As a
matter of fact the areas were we are actively looking for help looking
for volunteers on different areas:

thanks for the fast reply. We met in Barcelona. ;-)

Good to hear how things are going for you. Are you basically interested
in some MarCon especially for Ecuador? If so, I would just do some basic
interviewing of the "candidate" and a little research, and if there are
no objections, you could continue discussion with him. If I get your
"OK", I don't see any problems with appointing a new MarCon for Ecuador.

Opinions on that?

Florian

Well I am ok with stablishing more MarCon but since the marketing efforts are more NLC-project wise. I would like him to be more involved with the efforts we are doing in other LA countries so he can leverage on that.

We currently are working with chapters as opposed to MarCons because chapters are more team-groups that can perform better activities than just one guy.

I would advice to instead of having him as MarCon to stablish a OOo ES chapter in Ecuador just like we have in Mexico, Chile and Colombia.
