As some of you will know, I am a big enthusiast for the work of the native language projects. They provide a huge area for "non-geeks" to get involved in OOo and help eliminate the digital divide in their language communities.
The work of preserving languages in celebrated every year by UNESCO under the title "International Mother Language Day" on 21st February. This should be a big party day for all OOo people! http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/02/prweb506529.htm I wonder whether we could link OOo's language work more closely with that of UNESCO etc by changing the name "Native Language Projects/Confederation" to "Mother Language Projects/Confederation"? Any thoughts?
