Hello,

Let me briefly summarize the major activities of Korean NL project in 2007.

* More team members

We now have 10 active members who participate in various projects such
as QA, end user support, and translation etc.

* User support and documentation

Thanks to the great work from OOoAuthors Project, we could release the
1st draft of OpenOffice.org Korean user guide. It has 121 pages and
covers the basic usage of OpenOffice.org. Also, we are keep doing
great end user support through community forum.

* OpenOffice.org translation

We started to join translation effort and the new strings in 2.4 was
translated by Korean community. The quality was not perfect, but it
was well done considering it was our first participation.

* Campaign for ODF / against OOXML

We did campaigns for ODF / against OOXML through blog, media, and
public speeches. And I believe that it played a important role so that
Korean government voted against DIS29500 and accepted ODF as National
Standards.

* More mirrors

By our request, one of the major Korean portal, Daum communications,
started to mirror OpenOffice.org as part of there Developer Network
program. It has positive marketing effect as well as provides very
fast download for Korean users. Now we have 3 mirrors in Korea.

Best regards,
Jeongkyu
