So, I'm finally able to reproduce and control this odd behavior. In order to get the missing button to appear one have to use NB-Darcula AND check "Use stretched tabs".
Manipulating those two I'm able to control the visibility of the button, in NB 11.2, in my old plattform application and in a new maven platform application created by the new project wizard. This feels like a bug to me, unless I'm the only one having this. :) Or, is a feature of NB-Darcula? Regarding the Branding Window control it only controls the functionality and shortcut + tab context menu. Can anyone reproduce this?
