It's easy, though time consuming needing to stop/start NB 5 times, to
reproduce.
See the bug report [1] that started this thread, I added my experience
and how to reproduce.

It's not easy to reproduce. I just saw it in a current source build
after changing colors in the terminal
(Tools/Options/Miscellaneous/Terminal). I clicked OK to confirm the
changes and dismiss the dialog, and it reappeared twice. Couldn't
reproduce it with a clean userdir.
