Ah, I see.

So what about something like https://github.com/apache/netbeans-website/pull/461 for kb/docs/platform/index.html? Would that help?

I've removed the "What's new" (not ported) and I've seen there're some missing wiki pages we may want to keep: nb-idioms and maven best practices. We may want to port those too (but that won't happen today :-)).

Cheers,
Antonio

This is a difficult question. Let me answer with another question (I
apologize for that).

Which one of the two existing pages do you think is better?

a) https://netbeans.org/kb/trails/platform.html
b) https://netbeans.org/features/platform/all-docs.html

Both seem to have up-to-date information about the platform tutorials,
both of them seem to aggregate existing tutorials by intent, but I can't
tell which one is better/more up-to-date.

Regarding the index at https://netbeans.apache.org/tutorials, this was
generated automatically: all existing files sorted alphabetically by
title. I don't know if this makes sense. Also there're some files there
(section.html) which should be deleted.

Let me know your preference between a) and b) and I'll try to generate
an Asciidoc version of those if you want. Note also that we can have
both, but I don't think this makes sense.

Kind regards,
Antonio

Hi, especially Antonio,

Should I create

https://netbeans.apache.org/kb/docs/platform/index.html, i.e., a
learning
trail like this one:

https://netbeans.apache.org/kb/docs/java/index.html

Or should https://netbeans.apache.org/tutorials/ itself be the learning
trail for the platform?

Hi again,

I think https://netbeans.apache.org/kb/docs/platform.html may be a
good
starting link for Platform Tutorials.

Cheers,
Antonio

Hi all,

http://platform.netbeans.org/tutorials has been ported to
https://netbeans.apache.org/tutorials. All links on the website now
point to https://netbeans.apache.org/tutorials

This has been an automated migration from HTML to AsciiDoc, so some
tutorials may render badly (mostly those who used tables for layout).
Updates are as usual welcome.

I think platform.netbeans.org can now be shut-down or made to
redirect
to netbeans.apache.org, right?

Kind regards,
Antonio
