There is no way to add the new portal without giving up the old portal.
Yes, there can only be one plugin redirect currently, and it would now
be a bit of work to have more than one. Ideally we'd switch that ASAP
to the new portal, and people could add the old portal manually for as
long as it remains in existence (probably not very long).

It would also be possible to have a catalog that merged the two
centres, but I don't think that's being looked at, and is probably not
worth it.

I have 'combine_uc.py' which I use to assemble the catalog/UC for the jVi update center. It's probably messy and uncommented, but it could be adapted; that might be the smallest part of the issue. In any event, I'd prefer to move to the new update center.

But since "NetBeans 8.2 Plugin Portal" is available in the plugin
manager,
No, it isn't! That's the update centre for 8.2, so people can install
the C/C++ support, etc. It is not third-party plugins.

Oh, yes, I see. Guess I should have looked before assuming the name...

That gets back to the question

What/who/... has to be done to get the new plugin portal catalog available on NB 11.3? NB 12.0? Is there some process to green light this?

Gj answered the what by pointing to a file, but "process' seems to be the greater issue.

Not having a functional user plugin portal and update center...

My 'C' key is sending spurious keykodes and ugh to use alternate spellings, but I've been wanting to go bak to a split keyboard; probably be lurking until. I'm looking at "Kinesis Freestyle2" any komments on that produkt?

Best wishes,

Neil
