Never did close out this thread here but I reverted back to JDK 11 and
things built without problems.

Not sure if this was due to the configuration or if the server connection
was working correctly this time.

If it was the configuration, I'm still curious if this will be a problem in
future build activity when newer JDK versions come in touse.
