Yes, absolutely, -1 to merging until we're out of freeze, outstanding
elements of review are handled, and it doesn't break tests, etc.

Tim, querying why we haven't merged a PR that you effectively
abandoned doesn't seem particularly fair either. My reply is
certainly *not* to say it's for a vendor to fix, it certainly is to
question why if it's important to you that PR languished in its
current state?

Out of interest, what JDK and OS are we talking about? And also, does
switching to FlatLaF provide a more usable alternative? Could it be a
better choice of out-of-the-box default? The only hi-dpi device I've
currently got that's useful for testing this is a Chromebook with
Linux containers - works fairly well there, but the environment is a
little odd!

Yes, the import settings stuff has been on my mind for a while, since
Eric and I discussed it around templating in new build, etc. although
it's come up in other discussions since. But I've not found any time
to follow up on my thoughts, and not sure if anyone else has either.
I do think there's some merit to a sort of meta project to concentrate
on the post-install experience - like Ubuntu did with papercuts a few
years back.

On the Ant issue, Tim, please check 12.1 beta and file a JIRA with
details. I usually try and check a bunch of start ups with clean
userdir, but haven't checked Ant in current cycle I think.

Best wishes,

Neil
