Hello,
when I want to get the very first version of a file in Git, I can go
back in history to strange dates:
"Showing Git revisions from 12.08.1950 (7 entries)."
It seems, NB does not get any clue that there don't exist any earlier
versions ...
Well, that's just strange and annoying, but probably time-consuming if
somebody forks a not well-documented project and wants to find the
earlier authors just for crediting.
