NetBeans generates a controller for the JPA that is incompatible with Application Servers. I reported this in https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-3894. The JPA is widely used in web applications but the controller that is generated is only suitable for desktop applications. The JIRA report is not for a bug because the desktop JPA controller is correct. There must be, IMHO, the option to choose a web container or a desktop target.
