(1) Activate features

   1. Tried activating HTML5, Java SE, Tools, JavaFX 2, Groovy, Java Web
and EE, Developing Netbeans, and Base IDE.
   2. Hit "Activate" button which is followed by "Activation Failed: Cannot
   enable* JavaFX2 Support" issue*
   3. Not sure if this was due to nothing yet being activated (i.e. Java)
or being activated at the same time, but figured I would mention it.
   4. I tried activating everything else (see list above minus JavaFX 2 )
   and they activated.
   5. Attempted to install Java FX 2 again and still failed.

(2) Tried to installed Plugin

   1. Tried "*JavaFX Implementation for Windows* [13.8] get an error
"org.netbeans.StandardModuleData@1365fc75 is not a valid Netbeans module"
   2. Tried "Gluon Plugin" got similar error
"org.netbeans.StandardModuleData@48f0b2ef is not a valid Netbeans module"
   3. Tried "Github Issues Support" got similar error
"org.netbeans.StandardModuleData@3045e89 is not a valid Netbeans module"
   4. After the error, the given plugin appears to be removed from the
"Available Plugins" and shows in the "Installed" (with Details checked).
   5. When I attempt to activate the Java FX and JavaFx SceneBuild plugins
from the Installed (Detail) list, it gets the above mentioned "Activation
   failed"
   6. Is there something funny with the plugin mechanism with this build or
   my environment?
   7. My Environment:

*Product Version:* Apache NetBeans IDE 12.5-beta2

*Java:* 15.0.2; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 15.0.2+7-27

*Runtime:* Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 15.0.2+7-27

*System:* Windows 10 version 10.0 running on amd64; Cp1252; en_US (nb)

*User directory:* C:\Users\ebres\AppData\Roaming\NetBeans\12.5-beta2

*Cache directory:*

Maybe related to usage of Java 15

(3) Regarding download platform concern raised with Beta 1

   1. "Tools...Add Java Platform..Select platform type...Download OpenJDK
   (via Foojay.io Disco API)
   2. Selected "Quick..Download, Unacrhvie, and Automatically Register in
   Netbeans"...11 (LTS).
   3. Selected Next,
   4. Initially shows an "azul" flavor of 11 (assume this was the first
item or default version) ready for installation but went back to try to
select a different flavor before installing
   5. Selected Advanced, saw all the possible available 11 JDKs, when back
to quick and then next and nothing was selected any more so not expecting
   it install.
   6. Went back to "Quick" (still with 11 LTS), went to Advances and now
only shows "SAP '' versions of JDK. Seems the list of Java Platforms is
limited to the SAP ones and none of the others which showed previously.
   7. Close out of Add Java Platform tried again and continues to show
above behavior. Assume some sort of "selected" JDK may have been selected
initially but afterwards it's lost. Also the list of available JDKs for a
given release also seemed to get corrupted.
   8. Closed and restarted Netbeans
   9. Attempted the above which shows the azul 11 again and attempted
install. Which seems to install and register in Netbeans
   10. Add Java Platform again, moved the slider part to select 15 and/or
16, select Advances and still shows only the 11 versions. However from the
"pull down" version on the screen it allows selection of other ones. So
assume the "slider" on the Quick screen does not update the "selection
   filter" on the advanced screen.
   11. Tried to add a java 8 version 8.0.0.302 OJDKBuild X64, GA, zip
version first time failed to download.
   12. Tried again to install the above and it seemed to download but then
   stalled after that.
   13. Canceled, attempted to install again, it downloads but then stalls
   again.
   14. Not sure if this is also an issue but noticed in the
%USER_HOME%\AppData\Local\Java that the zip files for some of the attempts
were there with only the above successful one being unzipped into a
subfolder (named after the zip with another similar subfolder under that).
And the zip files may not get cleaned up all the time.

Not sure if this is a "feature request" or if I've missed something but
when installing a given Java Platform, is there any way to select this as
the "default version" (i.e. set netbeans jdkhome variable instead of a
manual edit)?
