There are a few possibly pending PRs, although not sure yet whether
we'll definitely need an RC3. Need to keep an eye on JIRA, etc. over

we can't fix everything in 12.6 otherwise there is nothing left do to

True! :-)
However, judgement on whether to trigger another RC is meant to be
based on issues that are critical or blockers*, and of course
feasibility of a fix / whether it's a regression.

rather than the reporter's own judgement. We should remove the
ability for issue reporters to set higher priorities and be more
prepared to re-prioritise.
there is no medium priority for some reason. The gap between critical
and minor is quite big. It just ends being a chain reaction, if a
reporter sees that everything is filed under critical, the new issue is
likely to be filed under critical too.
If someone is annoyed enough to create an account and file something on
an issue tracker, its unlikely that it will be filed under minor or
trivial :)
Well, actually, we should dump JIRA
entirely and move to GitHub issues, but that's a whole other
discussion. :-)
yes probably. I think there should be also a periodic purge where old
issues are closed with: "please reopen if this is still an issue on the
newest version". Many issues i closed with that question were in fact...
no longer an issue according to the original poster.
it has to be automated, there are too many issues to make that manually.
Best wishes,
Neil
