my mistake, you are right (as always)! NetBeans releases are synced with
JDK update releases.
NetBeans 14 would be able to use javac of 18.0.1,
15 -> 18.0.2,
16 -> 19.0.1 etc
NetBeans 21 and 22 would temporarily align with the JDK version if my
napkin calculations are correct :)
