I have fond memories of Sun, Solaris and SPARC as well, though never was
as close to that ecosystem as you had been.
Though I'd say, let it go. Maybe put a cnd-sparc-rip tag before as a
headstone.

I've been having a conversation about removing Solaris SPARC support from
the CND (i.e. C/C++) branch. As you might know, there is active work on
getting this into the master branch.
I started removing support Solaris SPARC and several individuals mentioned
that I should ping the development team for comments/feedback/opinions or
anything else about this.
Here are the relevant details:
No more Java support - JEP 381
In 2017, Sun shutdown the SPARC dev. teams and stopped future work on the
processor.
And here are my comments:
"Sun was the first professional co. that I started my career at. I worked
on the team that ported SunOS (before Solaris) over to SPARC. It has a deep
emotional attachment for me. But, I just can't see anyone using it. It made
me sad when OpenJDK officially shut down support for it.
It's got a lot of cruft associated with it. So I'm trying to make the code
base easier to support. And just so you are aware, I'm expecting to
probably be the one supporting it, if it stays around, since I have a
working 64bit SPARC machine. Actually several. 8-)"
So if you have an opinion on this, I would be really interested in hearing
it..
