This is an unfair characterization of the situation. No-one is
expecting you to have to pitch in and resolve. At the same time,
throwing statements like this out without at least engaging in
answering questions and/or testing various dev builds that have
stemmed from your previous thread and other discussions is not going
to see issues fixed!

Incidentally, there is still a good chance the copy & paste issue is a
JDK bug, considering IntelliJ has similar reports -
https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JBR-5980 What is certain is that
the cause of this particular issue remains unknown.

NetBeans is a community project, primarily driven by a small group of
people giving their free time to ensure it survives and thrives.
Personally, all emails like this do, is make me think it would be
simpler to go and work on something else!

No, no and no. Feel free to drive that effort.

Weekly release candidates of NetBeans 20 will be available in a couple
of weeks. Please test them as much as you can. Please report issues
and try solutions when you can. Possibly the biggest contribution you
can make to better Windows support, aside from fixing issues, is
testing release candidates and feeding back.

Best wishes,

Neil
