Hi,

I can't help with the current case, but I'll have a look, to see,
whether we can allow plugin authors to request verification for a new
version, while there is one already present.

I agree, that it would make sense to allow plugin authors to request
verification while there is a verification active and then drop the
active one, once the new verification is done.
