Hello, I am reaching out for assistance regarding an issue I encountered while attempting to install NetBeans on my HP Omen Transcend laptop. Initially, I followed the provided instructions for installing NetBeans, but I installed a more recent version of Apache NetBeans than what the instructions specified. Unfortunately, this seems to have caused some complications.
When I attempt to install NetBeans, I receive the following prompt: *"Java SE Development Kit (JDK) was not found on this computer.JDK 8 or newer is required for installing the NetBeans IDE. Make sure that the JDK is properly installed and run the installer again. You can specify a valid JDK location using the --javahome installer argument.* *To download the JDK, visit http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads <http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads>"* However, when I try to download Java JDK 13, I encounter the following error: *"Another Java Installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before you can run this installer."* Despite extensive troubleshooting with my professor, we were unable to resolve the issue. We checked my laptop for any incomplete Java installations or related processes but found nothing. My professor suggested that this issue might be specific to HP laptops, as he has encountered similar problems with them interfering with certain Windows software. Could you kindly advise on how to proceed or recommend any potential solutions? I would greatly appreciate your guidance. Thank you for your time and assistance. Best regards, Julian Pina
