Alexey, there is no reason to apologize for anything.
Your contribution got reviewed, merged and survived 5 release candidates. The issues were found later and I think most of them should be already fixed in master by now.
This also isn't surprising, given how many "split views with preview" impls NB has, it is easy to overlook during testing that one doesn't behave like the other, esp when it is about divider persistence etc.
UI changes are always tricky - there is nothing what creates more feedback than UI.
