Hi All,

Now that the community installers for NetBeans 27 are up, I was taking
note of the download statistics for NetBeans 26. I thought they'd be
interesting to share.

Windows exe x86_64 189,079 (82.91%)
macOS pkg x86_64 11,689 (5.13%)
macOS pkg arm64 12,988 (5.70%)
Linux deb x86_64 9,161 (4.02%)
Linux deb arm64 1,992 (0.87%)
Linux rpm x86_64 3,146 (1.38%)
TOTAL 228,055

Figures from GitHub API via live view at
https://tooomm.github.io/github-release-stats/?username=friends-of-apache-netbeans&repository=netbeans-installers

This is a 10x - 15x increase on community installer usage prior to
NetBeans 26. In previous years of those, this was the slowest 3 month
period of the year - be interesting to see if that holds true now.

Stats for the binary and source zips from ASF CDN are at
https://infra-reports.apache.org/ (committers only, requires log in).
The various stats there don't properly align though, and don't cover
the full release period. Binary zip is probably comparable to the
total installer downloads, source about a third of that. Curiously it
reports a higher Windows percentage for the zips than with the
installers, which seems a little unlikely. Snap and other sources are
not measured as far as I know?

Just some food for thought ... as with all stats, to be enjoyed with a
good pinch of salt! :-)

Best wishes,

Neil
