Neil, again thanks for your helpful prior guidance. The module dependency for org.apache.commons.httpclient was fully removed, and a separate .jar installed in the project instead. Pretty simple.
Did some further testing of plugin installation today. Originally had trouble installing a newly built X3D-Edit plugin despite successful clean/rebuild under NetBeans29-rc2. Carefully tried installing and building everything several times, but no joy. Then after an unresponsive restart with no plugin appearing, I tried simply restarting NetBeans29-rc2 a second time... poof presto, there it was finally, plugin running. Whew! Am offering this after-action report in case it helps others with their plugin testing. We will submit an X3D-Edit plugin update request to the NetBeans Plugin Portal in a few days. Thanks for many great efforts with NetBeans29. all the best, Don -- X3D Graphics, Maritime Robotics, Distributed Simulation Relative Motion Consulting https://RelativeMotion.info On Fri, Jan 23, 2026 at 10:07 AM Neil C Smith <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Don, > > On Fri, 23 Jan 2026 at 16:14, Don Brutzman <[email protected]> wrote: > > I installed netbeans-29-rc1-bin zip and ran under latest Windows with no > > problems.
