I think what I described earlier in this thread works: 1) https://id.apache.org/info/MailAlias.txt matches the address to an Apache ID 2) http://people.apache.org/phonebook.html?uid=<apache ID> matches Apache ID to the name 3) https://wiki.apache.org/incubator/NetBeansProposal lists the name as an initial committer If any of these checks don't match we reject the subscription to private@ and people have to do their homework so that the above "chain of identification" works. We can also re-check all subscriptions in a few days once the dust settles. Does that work for you? -Bertrand
