I thought the same, in that Oracle was donating them as well… But the idea of getting submissions from the community, would be good, this way we can vote on a few submissions and the existing one to see what the popular opinion is in the community. It also might be nice to be able to visually distinguish NetBeans from Apache NetBeans.
