Hi Geertjan
This is great news. Do you know, how much time NB needs to build. I have
only a notebook available.

Hi all,
A branch has been set up containing the code planned for for the 1st
donation:
http://deadlock.netbeans.org/job/prototypes-donation_review/
Instructions are provided for building the code, too, i.e., download the
ZIP, unzip it, build it, run it: you should see a Java SE IDE, ready for
doing development work with JDK 9, i.e., JShell tooling, Jigsaw tooling,
as
blogged about and demoed at events, etc.
Note -- this is in no means final and shouldn't be taken to mean a
commitment to this code for the 1st donation, though it does contain the
code that we're hoping to donate in the 1st round.
We're doing this to get feedback to ensure that when we do the 1st code
donation, we'll be donating a coherent block of code, i.e., a meaningful
complete chunk of NetBeans IDE, to see which clusters (i.e., which high
level features) are included, scroll to the end of this page:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Apache+Transition
The items under 5d are part of the 1st code donation and hence part of
the
current state of the donation branch.
Again, for early feedback purposes only.
Looking forward to your responses!
Geertjan
