Not sure what the context is but speaking of trademark, note that Oracle (and 
soon the ASF) has a trademark on the red NetBeans cube.

So, that's a fancy, all paid expenses trademark.

Our *new* logo does not have any trademarks, etc.

I wonder if the ASF will do the necessary steps to trademark the new logo.

In light of the better legal protection we have the red logo looks more 
appealing.
