That sounds great to me, I often wondering, why is „Show history“ deactivated,
when I’ve selected a Folder or a Project. Local history for more then only a
single file, makes much more sense 😊

The short answer is that the code detects and switches it off…. With NetBeans
easy to download and run in NetBeans it is relatively straight-forward to set
some breakpoints and find it in ShowHistoryAction in the method protected
boolean enable(Node[] activatedNodes)

I am trying to see if I can add in the code to provide this multi-file support.
As it looks similar to what happens in Git/Diff, that is why I am hacking
around there first to see what I can reuse….

My plan is to document it all in a series of blog posts on hacking the NetBeans
IDE. There is also a talk at I am doing at CodeOne Conference San Francisco in
October called Hacking the NetBeans IDE[BOF4760]. There might just be a
connection….

Kind Regards,

MArk
