With NetBeans easy to download and run in NetBeans it is relatively straight-forward to set some breakpoints and find it in ShowHistoryAction in the method protected boolean enable(Node[] activatedNodes) I am trying to see if I can add in the code to provide this multi-file support. As it looks similar to what happens in Git/Diff, that is why I am hacking around there first to see what I can reuse…. My plan is to document it all in a series of blog posts on hacking the NetBeans IDE.
