What I still don't really understand is that Daniel (I believe) showed me
on infra chat an image of data that has been received somewhere in the
Apache infra backend and Ate also told me that siuch facilities already
exist -- hence, why do we need Google Analytics at all if this info is
already being gathered somehow?
Hope a mentor can answer this question.
We do have ephemeral data that we need to function as a academic
organization, yes.
With regards to this specific data, there isn't an easy way to say "you
can have this data, and you can have that" right now. Infra has access
to all the request data, and can make screenshots like the one I showed
you, but obviously does not want you to have the same all-in access pass
to everything.
It's a question of what the infra team _has_ do to, and what would be
nice to have. A nice-to-have would be custom statistics for each TLP,
properly anonymized etc, but we don't have that at present, and - unless
someone wants to write something that does that in their spare time -
not in the immediate future. Fires crop up from time to time, and they
need our main attention.
With regards,
Daniel.
Thanks,
Gj

I think linking to
https://www.apache.org/foundation/policies/privacy.html should be good
enough, IIRC that Jackrabbit variant was created earlier, but the
standard one is preferred.
