Hi,

I'd go with whichever is best for autocompletion while building NetBeans RCP apps (but I don't know which one that is).

Cheers,
Antonio

Hi,

I think that's a good idea. I'll do it, unless someone beats me to it.

Do we want one javadoc package for (full) IDE and one for platform, or just
the one for full IDE? (I suspect the former.)

Thanks,

Hi all,

Shall we generate a javadoc zip file and include it to the release
binaries?

I'm asking because this is going to be a big zip file, and we may want
to distribute it through the Apache Mirror System. Also having javadoc
zip files is useful for NetBeans RCP programming.

AFAIK (I'm not sure) this would require just adding the line

"build-javadoc
-Djavadoc.zip=$WORKSPACE/dist/incubating-netbeans-$VERSION-javadoc.zip
-Djavadoc.web.zip=$WORKSPACE/dist/incubating-netbeans-$VERSION-javadoc-web.zip"

after

"generate-uc-catalog"

in the jenkins incubator-netbeans-release job [1].

Antonio

Thanks Jan!

The job just finished successfully, right now we have 2 source and two
binary distribution for platform and the whole IDE.
Do we want to split the whole IDE for first vc (or at all?) or we can
stick to the current setup?

See:

https://builds.apache.org/view/Incubator%20Projects/job/incubator-netbeans-release/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/dist/

BTW Jan, could we rename the incubating-netbeans-test-* ->
incubating-netbeans-ide-*, then run the job again?
If we are agree that this setup is Ok for vc, then I can prepare the VC1
today.

Thank you again!

FWIW, I've just changed to release job to checkout from the "release100"

Follow up question for Laszlo -- what is it that you need to do
there, just
so we're all on the same page and can see whether we're on the same
page?

Secondly, you need to be added here:

https://whimsy.apache.org/roster/group/hudson-jobadmin

That should be done during today.

Hi

I think this is a infra job to change your permissions on Jenkins.

It seems we need to alter the release job on Apache Jenkins.

Added mentor header as I've got the info on infra.chat that it might
require a mentor to make somebody hudson-jobadmin

If someone could grant me access to modify:

https://builds.apache.org/view/Incubator%20Projects/job/incubator-netbeans-release/

That would be really great.
