Laszlo/Geertjan - After working with the plugin developer, we suspect it might be a nb issue. I submitted a JIRA ticket. As I have not done this before, I would welcome feedback on anything I could do to assist in this process.

You need to have at least Gradle 4.10 to get the project loaded. If you prefer to use the wrapper it is going to fail.
