Report from the nifi committee [Joe Witt]

## Description:
 - Apache NiFi is an easy to use, powerful, and reliable system to process and
 distribute data.

## Activity:

the developer
mailing lists leading to the establishment of several wiki documented
feature proposals
 and progress against them.
