-1 (revote) On further testing I have found that the SSLContextService does not work as expected due to this ticket https://jira.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-4558 and the related PR. This makes it difficult or impossible to use the SSLContextService as I believe the customValidate() method takes in user input and not the default settings. I would say this is a blocker for nifi-1.8.0-RC1. I have submitted a PR to revert this change: https://github.com/apache/nifi/pull/3097.
