I agree with the move to cancel the vote, and fix this issue before RC3 is created.
The NiFi 1.8.0 RC2 vote is now canceled, and I'll create RC3 after the fix has been merged to master. Thank you to the reviewers that have taken the time to review RC1 and RC2.
