We have a need for UUID v5 coming up, and I'd like to make record path and EL functions available if possible as part of 1.9. v3 is already part of the Java API, but v5 is not. However, I have found some really simple, dependency-free implementations of v5 under MIT or public domain that I could use.
Would like to know if any of our security folks here have any opinions on how they would implement this. Thanks, Mike
